Integrating CRM into IBM WebSphere Portal with Digital Data Connector

The aim of this sample is to demonstrate the use of IBM WebSphere Portal’s Digital Data Connector (DDC) component to display customer information from an external CRM system within the context a portal site. IBM Cast Iron was used as the integration layer to consume the CRM information using out-of-the-box adapters, from Salesforce Sales Cloud in this case, and provide a feed for the DDC control. IBM Web Content Management (WCM) portlets then allow the customised display of the data in keeping with the portal user experience. This document describes the required components and steps to recreate the solution.
