ZERO Announces Apollo, its Latest AI-Driven Productivity Automation Tool for the Legal Industry

ZERO | October 22, 2021

ZERO, a pioneer in productivity automation solutions for professional services firms, today announced the launch of Apollo, a new software solution that automatically captures lawyers time spent on billable work on any desktop device and seamlessly integrates it into their existing billing platform. Apollo is a low-touch, high-impact solution that can be deployed seamlessly on a law firm's existing IT infrastructure.

Apollo offers the legal industry a new intelligent product that mimics human cognition by learning from users' activities to produce accurate recordings of projects and billable time to drive higher client value and improve employee morale. According to ZERO's latest legal industry survey published in August 2021, lawyers waste 30% of their time on non-billable admin tasks like tracking and reporting time – time that could be spent improving the quality of their work lives by focusing on practicing law.

"We heard loud and clear from lawyers that they want a better work-life balance, and one way to provide that is freeing up their time spent on administrative tasks. With Apollo, the time they spend working on their desktops is automatically captured and entered into their billing software, meaning they don't have to spend hours at the end of every day, week or month manually entering that time, when they could be watching their child play soccer or focusing on winning a case."

Alex Babin, ZERO CEO

Apollo provides three key benefits to lawyers and their support staff: 1) ensuring the quality and relevancy of time entries; 2) reducing the hours spent on manual timekeeping; and 3) increasing revenue for law firms.  Apollo joins ZERO's suite of automation products that enable lawyers to be more productive and generate more revenue by automating and streamlining onerous administrative tasks such as email management and mobile time capture. ZERO is well-known in the legal industry via partnerships with AMLAW500 companies automating their internal administrative processes, like billing, email, and document management.

ZERO's next-generation AI solutions sit upon existing systems and provide an additional layer of automation that runs in the background, using autonomous virtual modules to mimic human decision-making in high-value, repetitive processes like information prioritization and data classification. This automated layer sits on top of billing systems, email systems and document management systems enabling organizations to increase productivity and accuracy at the user and firm-wide level, ultimately bringing more billable hours and profit to the firm.

Geminus.ai launches first of its kind predictive intelligence platform

Geminus.ai | June 14, 2022

Geminus.AI announces the launch of its first product; a predictive intelligence platform that has the power to transform how companies design and operate industrial products and processes. The Geminus Platform fuses adaptive AI with physics using multi-fidelity modeling to enable creation of predictive models that uniquely combine high accuracy and speed, fast updating, and quantified uncertainty. The product allows users to leverage key information on hand, such as low- and high-fidelity simulation, as well as real-world data, to efficiently create high performing predictive models that can be used for a variety of use cases including process design and control optimization. "Lam’s interest in Geminus is driven by the potential to employ their hybrid modeling capability to better predict how our equipment would behave in high volume manufacturing and optimize designs accordingly.” Faran Nouri, a director of Geminus and VP at Lam Research, an investor in Geminus The investments an organization makes in modeling technology can be staggering and the risks associated with generating expensive, ineffective models are high. Compared to conventional physics-based alternatives, Geminus improves ROI with faster, more effective models, reducing the risks of bad decision making. It also provides another step toward enabling digital twins, with all the advantages they can offer. “We believe that AI in its current form will struggle to deliver ROI in complex systems that cannot tolerate insufficient accuracy and dynamically change over time. For example, our models can power digital twins that predict the behavior of highly complex processes, and enable increased productivity, at a level that does not yet exist today,” said Greg Fallon, CEO of Geminus.ai. About Geminus Geminus exists to address the challenges of conventional AI, which includes heavy data requirements, long training times, and difficulty updating. The Geminus platform uses novel, physics-informed AI computing to translate constraints of the physical world inside resilient digital models. Furthermore, it requires only sparse data, and models are easily updated with the infusion of new data points. Data scientists and modeling engineers can use the platform to predict the behavior of complex systems and help them make informed decisions.

Modulos Launches a Data-Centric AI Platform That Simplifies the Development of Trustworthy AI Applications

Modulos | May 23, 2022

Data-centric AI software company Modulos AG today announced the availability of its revolutionary data-centric AI platform. The platform enables companies to identify flaws in their data in a fraction of the time required by conventional data cleaning methods. These practical recommendations then help users build better AI/ML models based on the improved data. Recent studies of how data scientists spend their time regularly highlight that curating data and then manually inspecting and cleaning it can take up to 80% of their time. (Ref: hbr.org) These efforts by highly trained specialists lengthen the time and increase the cost of AI/ML projects. Even with all this human effort spent on improving data quality, only 13% of AI/ML applications make it into production. The Modulos platform recommendations can reduce the time spent on data cleaning and quality checks by pinpointing exactly which data samples most affect the performance of AI models trained with them. "The goal of data-centric AI is to shift the focus of AI development from fine-tuning models to curating better data. AI trained on flawed data can't result in accurate and trustworthy models. That's why most of the human effort in building AI systems should focus on data quality." -Kevin Schawinski, CEO of Modulos The European Union is currently working on an EU AI Act which will set the global standard for how AI products and services must be developed and brought to market. Amongst the key requirements of this Act is that the data used to train AI is high quality, complete and fair.
