Apiiro Launches Partner Program to Fix Cloud-Native App Risks Faster

Apiiro | June 06, 2022

Apiiro
The Apiiro Partner Program, which provides complete support for technical, consulting, and reseller partners across the Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) ecosystem, was introduced today by Apiiro, the pioneer in Cloud-Native Application Security.

Because vulnerabilities are scattered across the design, code, open-source packages, infrastructure-as-code, containers, Git and CI/CD servers, and cloud infrastructure in the era of cloud-native application development, the remediation lifecycle is becoming longer and more complex.

Furthermore, due to the absence of context, the overall efficacy has been harmed by noisy warnings and false positives as a result of the change in responsibilities and the usage of a plethora of tools, each addressing only a small fraction of cloud-native application threats. Therefore, the visibility of the Software Bill Of Materials (SBOM) and context from cloud infrastructure to code are critical for the repair process across the software supply chain.

Partners from the cloud-native application security, DevOps, cloud infrastructure security, and other cybersecurity industries, such as Alacrinet, Defy Security, Google Cloud, HashiCorp, NetSPI, NXGN, parabellyx, and Trace3, have joined the Apiiro Partner Program to help customers remediate cloud-native application risks across the software supply chain. The Apiiro Risk Graph technology and supporting tools will help partners accelerate customer adoption and success with a contextual shift left risk remediation technology.

"Our customers aren't just modernizing their cloud-native application security - they're reinventing the way they develop, build, and deploy cloud-native applications across the software supply chain. By uniting in the Apiiro Partner Program, Apiiro and our partners can collectively ensure cloud-native applications are developed and delivered in a secure manner."

John Leon, VP of Business Development at Apiiro

Training tools and sales resources, as well as access to technical evaluation demos and documentation to enable go-to-market and collaborative marketing opportunities, are all included in the program. Additionally, partners may boost their value to customers by delivering contextual shift left risk remediation before releasing to the cloud by joining the Apiiro Partner Program.

Edge Impulse Announces Bosch Sensortec Support for Edge ML Sensing Applications

Edge Impulse | July 20, 2022

Edge Impulse has announced that its machine learning development platform now supports Bosch Sensortec sensors, utilized on the new Arduino Nicla Sense ME microcontroller board to allow for unprecedented intelligence in edge-based products and solutions. The Nicla Sense ME is the first Arduino Pro product developed in collaboration with Bosch Sensortec, designed specifically for accelerating the development of intelligent sensing solutions. Measuring just 22.86mm×22.86mm (0.9in.×0.9in.), the Nicla Sense ME features a powerful 64MHz Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller that can easily handle edge AI functions even with a low power draw; the option to use battery power further complements its size and portability for remote environmental monitoring. Meanwhile, the advanced Bosch Sensortec sensors provide multiple ways to collect and analyze data, including: accelerometer and gyroscope (BHI260AP); high-accuracy pressure sensor (BMP390); a geomagnetic sensor (BMM150); and a combined low-power gas, pressure, temperature, and humidity sensor (BME688). These four sensors can also be used in concert for concurrent environmental and movement analysis. Edge Impulse, the leading development platform for ML on edge devices, allows developers to quickly and easily create and optimize solutions with real-world data, such as those collected by Sensortec sensors. The company's platform streamlines the entire process of gathering and structuring datasets, designing ML algorithms with ready-made building blocks, validating the models with real-time data, and deploying the fully optimized production-ready result to an edge target. The Edge Impulse development platform, already in use by thousands of companies, stands to unlock massive value across every industry, with millions of developers making billions of devices smarter. "The capabilities of the Nicla Sense ME and its Bosch Sensortec sensors open incredible opportunities for enterprise applications. "Using the accessible development tools provided by Edge Impulse, Bosch, and Arduino will allow more engineers and developers to move intelligence closer to where the data is being collected." Edge Impulse CEO and co-founder Zach Shelby "The next generation of industrial monitoring is smart sensing that can be deployed in remote environments," said Bosch Sensortec CEO Stefan Finkbeiner. "Bosch Sensortec's capabilities are perfectly matched to Arduino's hardware and Edge Impulse's machine learning platform to rapidly design, train, and launch custom tools for almost any service." About Edge Impulse Edge Impulse is the leading machine learning platform, enabling all enterprises to build smarter edge products. UiPath Acquires Re:infer Bringing Natural Language Processing to Enhance Everyday Customer Conversations Through Automation

UiPath | August 02, 2022

Leading enterprise automation software company, UiPath , today announced it has acquired Re:infer, a London-based natural language processing (NLP) company for unstructured documents and communications. Founded in 2015 by Ph.D. scientists from the AI research lab at University College London, Re:infer uses machine learning (ML) technology to mine context from communication messages and transform them into actionable data with speed and accuracy. “Automation and AI are a powerful and natural pair that together empower the vision of the fully automated enterprise™. “Our customers are awash in documents, communications, and data that they need to understand the meaning of and process efficiently. Combining Re:infer’s NLP technology with our Document Understanding and AI products expands the breadth of our current AI-powered automation capabilities and unlocks new automation opportunities for our customers.” Ted Kummert, Executive Vice President, Products & Engineering at UiPath “Automating the interpretation of documents and communications data bridges the gap between humans and information technology systems, and structured and unstructured data to supercharge digital transformation efforts in the enterprise,” said Dr. Ed Challis, CEO and Co-Founder of Re:infer. “We have spent the last seven years building an innovative technology and believe UiPath will take us to another level. We couldn’t be more excited to access UiPath’s power of scale and introduce Re:infer to a new global audience. We’re joining the leader in enterprise automation and it’s an incredible day for us.” Re:infer allows users to deploy custom machine learning models to analyze documents and communications data generated by a typical business each day – data previously lost or ignored due to processing limitations. Their no-code interface allows business users to train their own AI models for greater specificity and flexibility. The self-learning capability continuously improves model accuracy to assist customers in identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Today, this is helping many of the world’s leading enterprises – including large banking, insurance, and e-commerce organizations – scale their services, enhance customer experience, and drive process improvement. This includes Deutsche Bank, Hiscox Ltd., and Farfetch. “By using UiPath and Re:infer together, we have driven significant business impact through automation, enabling automated cataloguing, triaging, and responding to tens of thousands of email-based requests per month,” said Marco Rodriguez, Head of Automation at Hiscox Ltd. “With UiPath and Re:infer, our insurance brokers get instant, automated responses to email requests. Our service-level agreements have been reduced from days to just hours, and we have true, organizational visibility into business conducted over email.” “Businesses are increasingly turning to platforms that combine intelligent automation technologies and solutions to resolve entrenched business problems. Mining for value in the thousands of interactions between a business and its customers each day is an attractive proposition for organizations that want to enrich customer experience, generate new revenue streams, and optimize operational efficiencies,” said Sneha Kapoor, Senior Research Manager, Analyst, and Technology Advisor for IDC Financial Insights.
