BROADWai’s Co-Founder and CEO Micah Hollingworth says their solutions ‘allow businesses to focus on higher-value work’

Media 7 | November 3, 2021

Micah Hollingworth, Co-Founder and CEO at BROADWai takes us through his journey from working at Broadway to recently launching BROADWai to help businesses across the spectrum with automation. Read on to know more about their innovative solutions.

Consumers have an expectation of quick, simple, and seamless checkouts.

MEDIA7: Thank you so much for doing this with us! Before we dig in, our readers would love to learn a bit more about your professional journey.
MICAH HOLLINGWORTH:
The majority of my professional experience is in commercial theatre, specifically Broadway. Throughout my 25 year career, I’ve worked in a large variety of roles. Most recently, prior to launching BROADWai, I was the Vice President of Company Operations for Jujamcyn Theaters, a Broadway landlord who owns and operates five Broadway theatres. At Jujamycn Theaters, part of my role was focused on business development and how we could improve the theater-going experience. During this time, I was introduced to Satisfi Labs and their conversational AI technology. Their platform intrigued me and we quickly envisioned a conversational ticket sales platform that would essentially take the experience of purchasing tickets at the Box Office window digital. After some internal consideration, my partner Jonathon Scott and I formed BROADWai and began a relationship with Satisfi Labs to expand their platform to include ticketing e-commerce. Three years later we have integrations with TicketMaster, Telecharge, Ingresso, Tickets.com, and several others that are still in the early stages of development.

M7: BROADWai helps sports, concert, or performing arts businesses so that their guests can connect with them to get automated event and venue information, or even purchase tickets. How exactly does BROADWai execute this?
MH:
First, we build an Answer Engine that contains all of the knowledge about that venue and its events. Next, we add our e-commerce plugin, which supports conversational ticket search and purchase connected via API to the primary ticketing provider for the venue. We are not a third-party reseller. Rather, we are a facilitator and partner for the venue to extend the reach and power of their primary ticketing provider.

Businesses of all types are being forced to do more with fewer resources, especially staffing.

M7: Currently, you are working on bringing a concierge and ticket sales platform to live events powered by AI and NLP technology. Could you please tell us a little more about this?
MH:
Our conversational agents extend the reach and connection with our client’s fans. Following the pandemic, these fans now have an expectation of immediate, on-demand information, in their preferred communication channel. (Web, SMS, Messenger, Voice, etc.) Our solution provides our clients with a straightforward and immediate solution to this challenge.

M7: What do you see as the most noticeable change right now happening in the workforce, encouraged by the rise of digital technologies?
MH:
Businesses of all types are being forced to do more with fewer resources, especially staffing. We do not suggest that our technology replaces members of your team. Instead, by responding to and answering & resolving a significant number of inbound inquiries, it allows your team to focus on higher-value work.

Following the pandemic, fans now have an expectation of immediate, on-demand information, in their preferred communication channel.

M7: Which technologies according to you are garnering the maximum mileage in your industry?
MH:
Any form of payment solution that reduces or eliminates friction. Consumers have an expectation of quick, simple, and seamless checkouts. Failure to meet these expectations will impact your conversion rates.

M7: Lastly, could you please tell us about your love for ‘Broadway’ and how has it inspired you personally and professionally?
MH:
I’ve been a theatre fan since I saw my first show at 12-years-old. What surprised me most recently is learning how similar producing a show is to working in the tech/start-up world. Both are small companies with long odds, driven by a love and passion for what you do.

Simplifai launches an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution for digital archiving of emails and attachments

Prnewswire | May 26, 2023

Simplifai, the Secure AI company, today announced the public launch of Simplifai Archiver, an AI-powered solution that intelligently archives email and attached documents. It ensures appropriate emails and documents are filtered for privacy or sensitivity, are made publicly made available if appropriate, and finally correctly archived. Emails that are private are excluded from archiving and publishing. The solution supports multiple forms of automation and decision support. Norway alone spends 7.7 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately 770 million Euros) per year on archiving solutions*, however many do not archive emails as there has been few tools that do so efficiently. Reports by Riksrevisjonen** points to a lack of archiving as a structural problem that affects transparency and trust in democracy. These are problems the Simplifai Archiver addresses. Simplifai Archiver uses trainable artificial intelligence to deduce whether an email is public or personal, is suitable for archiving, and whether or not it is appropriate to be published publicly. Initially focused on Norway, the Simplifai Archiver has been developed in a MVP project with The Norwegian National Archives and has already received official recognition by the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Simplifai already has two customers using this solution. Claims Link has been using a light version of Simplifai Archiver for 1.5 years, and Gjerdrum Municipality is going live in one month. Simplifai Archiver will soon be available for widespread usage, for public entities and private organizations around the world. "Simplifai delivers artificial intelligence solutions to make employees more efficient and productive. Our primary aim is to make employee's jobs easier, and taking care of the elements that can be solved programmatically," said Bård Myrstad, Simplifai CEO. "Simplifai Archiver is a solution that takes care of email archiving and publication of necessary emails with one--if that--clicks, while protecting their personal correspondence." Furthermore, Simplifai Archiver has out-of-the-box integrations with existing systems such as Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Documaster, Acos WebSak andElements from Sikri Group. Simplifai Archiver has previously been referred to in Norwegian as Digital Arkiv Medarbeider (DAM). About Simplifai Founded in 2017, Simplifai is the secure AI company. We create the Simplifai AI Automation platform, which is used to create Simplifai Archiver, Claims Handling, Document Handling, Debt Collection, and Customer Service solutions. We are founded in Oslo, Norway, with offices in Pune India, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Ukraine. Learn more: www.simplifai.ai.

Workera introduces the world's first skills assessments for generative AI

Prnewswire | May 29, 2023

Series B startup Workera announces the release of its generative AI assessments to test, rate and develop the skills of this cutting-edge technology in the contemporary workforce. Over 1,000 users have already signed up to take the new assessments. Assessing a workforce's skills allows organizations to understand their employees' strengths and weaknesses in working with AI, and to utilize AI capabilities optimally. By identifying and understanding skill gaps and training needs, leaders can design targeted training programs that upskill their workforce, keeping them competitive in the rapidly-evolving AI landscape. Having a workforce proficient in using AI improves decision making and fosters better collaboration between humans and AI systems. Measuring a workforce's skills in using generative AI can help organizations ensure responsible AI usage, identify potential risks, and ensure that employees are following ethical guidelines and best practices. "Generative AI will play an important role in shaping the future workforce – increasing productivity in many careers," says Kian Katanforoosh, CEO and co-founder of Workera. "It used to take years to adopt a new technology shift, but today is different. Our teams at Workera have worked tirelessly to allow people to measure, understand, and close their skills gaps in Generative AI." Workera's new assessments cover three distinct, core skill areas – what Workera calls 'domains' – inside which are many more specific skills. The first domains to be assessed in generative AI are: ChatGPT which gauges a deeper understanding of essential generative AI skills, including prompting, use cases, and optimization. Generative AI, which covers foundational, non-technical concepts of generative AI such as how GenAI systems work, real-world application, and ethical considerations. LLMs which evaluates technical knowledge of Large Language Models, assessing the ability of individuals to work with and optimize the performance of these systems. Says Kian: "Our new suite of Generative AI assessments is the most comprehensive GenAI skills assessment in the market, measuring skills from the fundamentals of large language models, to prompt engineering, business specific-use cases and responsible deployment. It is available for both technical and non-technical audiences. Our psychometricians are also establishing skills benchmarks that will be available soon." Leaders who want to be the first to measure their teams' skills in generative AI should sign up to the assessment waitlist at www.workera.ai/gen-ai. Professionals who want to measure their own skills can join the beta test of the new assessments by joining the user waitlist at www.workera.ai/gen-ai. About Workera Workera is the skills intelligence platform redefining how enterprises understand, develop, and mobilize talent. We empower organizations to stay ahead by unlocking the skills data needed to drive innovation and data-driven talent strategies across precision upskilling, talent acquisition, talent mobility, and coaching & mentoring. Enterprises get an objective pulse of their innovation skills through our configurable skills ontology and AI-powered measurement of skills at an atomic-level. We focus on innovation skills for all levels across data, AI, software, cloud, and cyber.
