'Enterprises that don't leverage AI and ML will likely be at a disadvantage,' believes Miquido's Jerzy Biernacki

Jerzy Biernacki, Head of Innovation & Business Development at Miquido, takes us through the many advantages of AI and ML to businesses. Read on to find out how enterprises can leverage exciting technology trends to help their businesses grow.

Web3 is the next generation of the internet, which is powered by blockchain technology.

MEDIA 7: What do you think is the most exciting technology currently in the market?
JERZY BIERNACKI:
I recently ran a poll on LinkedIn asking, "What is the strongest tech trend?" The results left no doubt that Web3 is currently the most trending technology. Web3 is the next generation of the internet, which is powered by blockchain technology. It's still in its early stages, but I believe it has the potential to completely revolutionize how we interact with the internet. Decision intelligence and no/low code platforms can change the game as well. These are two other technologies that I believe have the potential to change everything. Decision intelligence is a technology that helps organizations make better decisions by automatically identifying and analyzing patterns in data, helping them make better decisions, and faster. No/low code platforms allow you to create software without having to write much code. This can be a huge time-saver for organizations and can help them to quickly create custom software solutions.

M7: You have worked on several projects where you helped companies bring their vision of innovation to life. If you could name one of the best projects you have worked on at Miquido, which would it be and why?
JB:
At Miquido, we have developed many innovative solutions but, I'm the proudest of our long-term partnership with one of the world's largest music companies. Helping with a digital transformation for a global brand of this size is always a big deal. Probably the most impressive example was when my team implemented a solution that allowed them to cut down the time needed to perform a crucial internal process from a few weeks to under one hour.

Businesses will begin to heavily rely on AI-based technologies to automate tasks and processes.

M7: What kind of Artificial Intelligence services does Miquido provide its clients?
JB:
Miquido specializes in delivering Machine Learning solutions to businesses of all kinds and sizes. Our ML engineers employ supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning to develop AI solutions for credit scoring, opinion mining, recommendation systems, and more. We also help our clients improve their products and business processes using  Business Intelligence. Custom BI dashboards help them to understand their data better by showing only what is relevant to their set objectives, thus eliminating the “data overwhelm" issue. That way, you’re able to stay focused, with a clear goal ahead, and save valuable time as a result. Everything needed to make better-informed decisions, forecast sales, or improve user analytics, just to name a few opportunities.

M7: How are AI-based technologies evolving? What developments in the space do you predict within the next 5 years?
JB:
There is no doubt that AI-based technologies are evolving at a rapid pace. With so much investment and advancement in the space, I can predict major developments in the next five years. For one, we will see more widespread applications of AI across industries. Secondly, AI will become even more adept at completing complex tasks and solving problems. Finally, the cost of implementing AI technology will continue to decline, making it more accessible to businesses of all sizes. That will be possible because of the tools and services provided by cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud and AWS. Businesses will begin to heavily rely on AI-based technologies to automate tasks and processes. Nevertheless, AI is not going to fully replace humans but rather can be used as an aid to work smarter, faster or in more detail than humans are capable of.

By allowing businesses to analyze large amounts of data more quickly and efficiently, these technologies can help organizations become more agile, responsive, and competitive.

M7: As the Head of Innovation and Business Development at Miquido, how do you believe enterprises can leverage AI and machine learning?
JB:
Enterprises can leverage AI and machine learning in a few ways: by using them to improve their customer experience, automate business processes, and make better decisions. Machine learning can help businesses understand their customers' needs and preferences more effectively, which can lead to a more personalized customer experience. Automating business processes can reduce the amount of time and resources needed to complete tasks, and using AI for decision-making can help businesses make smarter choices that improve their bottom line. By allowing businesses to analyze large amounts of data more quickly and efficiently, these technologies can help organizations become more agile, responsive, and competitive. In short, AI and machine learning can improve their efficiency, make better decisions, and understand their customers better. That's why enterprises that don't leverage AI and ML will likely find themselves at a disadvantage compared to those that do.

M7: What is your trick to staying up-to-date on emerging technologies in the market?
JB:
I guess there is no trick. I follow the news by subscribing to a few selected tech magazines and channels on Youtube. Also, I try to visit at least two tech conferences each year. This way, I'm able to get a broad overview of what's happening in the industry, and I also have the opportunity to speak with experts who can give me more insights. Of course, that's just my personal approach. There are certainly other ways to stay up-to-date on technology, and everyone has their own preferences. But I find this mix to be a good balance between staying informed and not feeling overwhelmed.
