Atos Introduces ‘Thinkai' for High-Performance Artificial Intelligence Applications

Atos introduced ThinkAI today, describing it as a secure end-to-end scalable service that enables businesses to effectively design, build, and deploy high-performance AI applications.

“ThinkAI is for businesses who use traditional high-performance computing (HPC) and wish to conduct more accurate and quicker simulations due to AI applications, as well as those developing AI applications that require greater processing power,” Atos explained.

High-performance AI applications supplement standard HPC simulation and are required to efficiently handle and analyse vast and complex data sets. When compared to traditional HPC simulation, AI-powered simulation allows researchers to handle challenges more quickly and completely, with greater accuracy, cost-efficiency, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), minimising carbon footprint and providing competitive advantage.

AI applications, including those associated with drug discovery, smart cities, or autonomous driving, are already being developed; however, barriers such as data quality, security, and scalability remain; to help overcome these, expert consulting potential is required, allowing users to effectively define an AI roadmap, build scalable AI applications, and industrialise these. ThinkAI is by far the most comprehensive HPC AI solution on the market today, and the only one that offers a full range of services, from consultancy through hardware and software solutions, orchestration, and final integration. It provides quick results and data insight at a low cost.

“The Atos ThinkAI solution assembles the required components for HPC users at various stages of their AI journey to capitalise on the huge potential of AI in their own research. The Atos ThinkAI solution may assist customers in both the scientific and industrial sectors in successfully combining the most advanced, high-performance hardware and software solutions to accelerate the creation of crucial AI-based solutions and increase the value of their simulation workloads.” stated Alex Norton, Hyperion Research's Principal Technology Analyst and Data Analysis Manager.

“AI has ushered in a new paradigm for applications in the scientific and industrial sectors, accelerating the transformation of data into actionable insights.” As the complexity of the Machine Learning model and its related expenses continue to rise, specialised high-performance AI infrastructures are becoming increasingly important for companies seeking to achieve research breakthroughs. ThinkAI offers a comprehensive and tailored solution strategy in consulting, architecting, and implementing AI solutions for any industry, allowing them to expedite the time to AI operationalization and industrialization.” Atos Senior Vice President, Head of HPC & Quantum Agnès Boudot.

The ThinkAI solution framework consists of the following components:

• “Advise” with industry-contextualized advising from The Atos Center of Excellence in Advanced Computing specialists.

• “Architect” with best-of-breed AI hardware and software, including collaborations with Graphcore and NVIDIA, and Atos' digital security capabilities.

• “Achieve” with end-to-end solution orchestration, shortening the time to AI operationalization and industrialization while reducing costs.

From June 24 to July 2, Atos will participate in this year's virtual and on-demand ISC, the worldwide Conference for HPC, machine learning, and high-performance data analytics.
