Research shows that reliance on apps continues to grow. Users reported opening apps on their smart-phones 22 percent more often than they had just a year earlier, and overall time “in app” increased 21 percent. In categories such as Health and Fitness and Social Network, the increase was even more pronounced with time in app growing 51 percent and 49 percent respectively.
